It was a supreme weekend for the Gunners faithful as the men from Halloway went in to King Stadium and won in convincing fashion against the unbeaten Leicester City Foxes 5-2.
Chilean Striker Alexis, who had yet to add to his goal tally in 2015 for Arsenal, put on quite the display hauling in three goals for the afternoon.

Theo Walcott, who drew first blood for the Gunners while playing up top, couldn’t praise Alexis enough in the post-game conference.
“He is a top-quality player and even when he is not scoring goals he works so hard for us. He tracks back and does a lot for the team.”
“It has been a long time coming, he [Alexis] knows that himself. But he is very pleased today.”
Walcott himself was the subject of praise for his clinical strike off of a pass from Cazorla on an Arsenal counter-attack. The maturity of his follow-through reveals his comfort leading the attack for the Gunners.

Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger is pleased with the momentum this victory grants the Gunners moving forward.
“I feel like the quality of our game is getting better week by week.”
“We came to Leicester who have not lost this season and the fact that we came here and won in a convincing way was important for the confidence as well.”
The Gunners had a shaky start to the season, but have since turned it around holding the number four spot on the table and threatening to move up each week. They’ve strung together four wins in the last six games (one loss, one draw).
The timing couldn’t be better as this weekend pits them against new English Premier League top dog Manchester United.
The competition is sure to be fierce as both sides are given renewed hope with league bullies Manchester City floundering.
