Arsenal Down Three Until 2016

Arsene Wenger has come clean about the injury status of three of his current players and it’s not what the supporters were hoping for.

It appears that Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky will all be out of commission until the new year.

Welbeck had his previous season cut short with a knee injury and he has still yet to recover. He was unlikely for this year and it is looking like it will stay that way.

Welbeck had 10 goals and 3 assists for United in 2013/2014 play, but hasn’t stepped up for Arsenal yet.

Jack Wilshere suffered a hair-line fracture in his ankle, and was previously expected to be able to make a recovery before January, but it is not looking likely. The fracture has taken longer to heal than expected and pushed back his rehabilitation schedule.

Arsene Wenger thinks of Jack Wilshere as the “complete midfielder”.

Rosicky is also reporting problems with his knee. Wenger reported to the official Arsenal website that none of the three players should be expected before the New Year.

Injuries haven’t left the gunners in shambles as they sit in second place poised to take the lead (albeit briefly) this weekend. Inspired play from Alexis Sanchez has kept the Gunners a force to be reckoned with in the league.

Arsenal take on Everton tomorrow at 12:30 EST.
