It’s anyone’s best guess when we’ll get to see Super Mario on the pitch again. The twenty-five year old has been out with a persistent groin injury since the end of September and AC Milan Club manager Sinisa Mihajlovic doesn’t have timetable on his return.
“The groin pain comes and goes. The doctors are trying everything to solve the problem,” he said.
“He is working to strengthen the painful part, he’s trying everything but he can’t run. I don’t know when he can come back.”
Balotelli first sat out against Turin for the groin and even then the injury was simply considered part of the game.
Mihajlovic: “Injuries are part and parcel of our job. Balotelli is struggling with a groin injury and he is not available.”
Supporters have got to be wondering when they’ll see Balotelli uniformed again as AC Milan are currently 10th in Italian Serie A. Optimists could consider his return possible for Nov. 7th’s Atalanta match-up.
But given that Balotelli hasn’t been able to consistently run it’d be more realistic to expect him to be healed and up to fitness standards by the time Milan takes on Juventus Nov. 21th.
Here’s to hoping this month passes quickly for the AC Milan faithful!
