Liverpool FC midfielder James Milner is the kind of example the sport needs during the age of the super ego athlete and controversial stars.
The star launched his own charity over four years ago, the James Milner Foundation, and continues to work to provide impoverished youth with an outlet of healthy recreation in the form of football programs.
“We are very fortunate to do what we do for a living and get paid well for it,” the No.7 told Liverpoolfc.com.

Milner raised over 130,000 pounds with his last fundraising endeavor. The next one will be a “Night Before Christmas” themed ball that will feature an auction and raffles for various prizes throughout the evening.
Milner is the youngest player to score in the Premier League (at sixteen years old), was a three sport athlete in high school, and lays claim to the fact that despite pressure he’s never drank alcohol in his life.
He’s just joined Liverpool after five years with Manchester City who the Reds will face this weekend.
