The Premier League Unveils its New Logo

Grab your Barclay’s Premier League jerseys from while you can because they’re going out of style.

No literally, Barclay’s is ending its sponsorship of the English Premier League and so the League is rebranding their iconic patch for the first time in nearly nine years.

The biggest problem we see with the new patch is that it lacks any basic ‘badge’ shape. It’s more of TV logo than something that belongs on the sleeve of a professional footballer.

The old logo had a set badge shape, breaking conventions with the lion’s crown.

While dropping the Barclay’s sponsorship was an attempt to build more of a stand-alone brand (notice how it’s National Football League or National Basketball League in the United States) isn’t a bad idea, but the lack of a basic shape has us scratching our head on the future of Premier League Patches.

Our advice? Grab all your favorite jerseys from for crazy low prices, free 2015-2016 patches included!
