The Real Madrid captain has formally withdrawn from Spain’s scheduled friendly versus Romania due to a back injury.
Ramos could only make through the first half when Spain took on Italy before needing a replacement. During his time on the field he was clearly struggling with the pain.

The Spanish football association issued a statement following the game:
“Sergio Ramos has left the national team’s training camp on Friday morning due to a back problem that kept him out of the second half of the meeting with Italy.
“The Spain centre-back was taken off at half-time as a precautionary measure following his back complaints.
“Ramos will return to Spain in the morning, while the rest of the team will continue its preparation for Sunday’s friendly against Romania in Cluj.”
Los Blancos are praying for a speedy recovery. Real Madrid has a date in Catalan and they’ll need all of their best players to take it to Barcelona in El Clasico.
