Pennsylvania native Christian Pulisic is enjoying a season of starts for Borussia Dortmund.
The 18 year-old is currently the only player on the club to have played in every competitive match for the club this season. Quite the feat for any player, but even moreso for the young Pulisic who made his first team debut back in February of 2016. A testament to both his talent and durability, Pulisic is set for his 40th appearance this Saturday against Cologne.
For Pulisic, it’s starting to feel like his time is coming full circle,
“I worked incredibly hard in training. It was always my dream to play in the Champions League. When you are out there and hear the anthem, it’s just a wonderful feeling.”
A wonderful feeling indeed, rumors swirled that Pulisic would exit the Bundesliga over the summer to join an outfit like Liverpool, which would have put him under the tutelage of Borussia’s former manager Jurgen Klopp. But Pulisic ended up committing to Dortmund through 2020.
“I miss my family every day, all of them. It’s a new step for me. It’s hard, but I feel good here at Dortmund. The people are all very nice.”
Can’t hurt that in 2017 he has six goals and nine assists as Borussia Dortmund sit at third in the table.
