Adidas Unleashes the Nemeziz

The Summer’s here and Adidas decided that it wasn’t going to wait on providing the public with a new style of cleats. They even enlisted the help of stars like Robert Firminho to break the news:

Fresh from its secret underground lab, where even the the most advanced engineers had trouble containing its speed is the Adidas Nemeziz 17+ 360Agility FG cleats. Designed with some of the most agile players in mind, the Nemeziz was created to provide the unique combination of support and fluidity that speed-demons need to make game-changing plays.

The new Adidas Nemeziz draws inspiration from sport’s science and medicine in that the shoe is designed to provide the same support that athletes gain when they tape their ankles. Dubbed the AGILITYBANDAGE and TORSIONTAPE technology, the combination allows Adidas the ability to keep a player’s foot locked down and deliver the ultimate fit, while securing the ankle in place during an explosive change of direction.

While Adidas is enlisting the help of stars like Renato Sanches, and Roberto Firminho, everybody knows that the last word when it comes to agility belongs to the one and only Lionel Messi.

So what does The Flea think of Adidas’ aggressive new Nemeziz cleats?

“My game has always been about disruption. Making a move the opposition doesn’t expect, and making it so quickly that they don’t have the chance to react.  I
need flexibility to move and support that lets me adapt at ease. These boots are
perfectly designed for my game and I hope that they can also help support the next
generation of disruptive players as they come through.”
